Lights… camera… auction!
When this night falls in Melbourne, Florida, the stars shine bright over the Melbourne Hilton at Rialto Place. If you have never been a part of The Tim Wakefield Celebrity Classic, you are in for a real treat! The evening begins with a formal reception where guests are given the opportunity to mingle with VIP’s and get acquainted with a tempting array of silent auction items including everything from luxury hotel and spa packages to one of a kind sports memorabilia .

While bidding plans are laid out and old friendships renewed, the crowd is escorted into the Grand Ballroom at Rialto for a formal dinner and opening ceremonies. The main event of the first night is the Live Auction. Actor Kirk Trutner is perfect as the Master of Ceremonies and Celebrity Auctioneer Darren Jordan (Superbowl Champion/ SF 49ers 1994) keeps the crowd fired up and the money rolling in.
Recent live auctions have produced just about anything you can think of that could be autographed, including a guitar signed by Taylor Swift, a jersey signed by Michael Jordan or a football signed by Brett Favre! Past live auctions have also included such items as trips to Fenway Park to sit in the green monster, hot air balloon rides, and a walk on part in a feature movie. All of these items and many more have been generously donated to help children with disabilities and their families.

This is truly a night to remember. The energy and excitement of the live auction are hard to resist. Bidders are egged on by Celerity Auctioneers and their band of cheerleaders, “The Auctionettes”. In the end, the highest bidders claim their prized memorabilia, but the real winners are the families and children of Space Coast Early Intervention Center.
